J CHEN PROJECT to debut at Kennedy Center, Washington D.C.

J CHEN PROJECT will perform at The Kennedy Center in Washington D.C. for the free to the public event “Voices of Change on the Millennium Stage” January 29th, 2019 at 6:00pm est.
The event will be hosted by the non-profit organization Rise. Rise is a multi-sector coalition of sexual assault survivors and allies working to empower all survivors with civil rights.  Former J CHEN PROJECT dancer, Flannery Houston (pictured above), has been deeply involved in this organization by helping passing laws in both California and New York.
The “Voices of Change” event will also include a special appearance by Nobel Peace Prize nominee and Rise founder Amanda Nguyen.  Nguyen was the power behind the Sexual Assault Survivors Bill of Rights’ Act of 2016, one of only 23 bills to pass unanimously through US congress.
J CHEN PROJECT is excited for this message of empowerment to reach a broader audience.  The free to public event “Voices of Change”, aligns with our ethos of making the arts accessible to everyone.  This event will be streamed live to reach an even wider audience on the Kennedy Center’s You Tube channel.
This is a significant opportunity to add our artistic voice in celebration at The Kennedy Center and to show how powerful we can all be together.
